I know this would not necessarily be a popular idea, but if I personally would
really like to see the Futurities return to their original purpose.? A Regional
Breeder's Showcase - To me that means all puppies and young dogs are judged in
their region.? Then the winner's of THAT region are sent off to the National to
compete for the National prize.? That was the purpose of Regional Futurities
right?? To see what is up & coming in each region, what dogs are producing, to
see litter's all shown together....?????

That's a really good idea Jeff, except for people like me. During the last
few years, I've bought GSDs from breeders in Missouri and Minnesota. I live in
NY. If they had to be shown in the breeders' regions, I would have chosen NOT
to show them (due to distance and <maybe> I wouldn't have liked the judge in
those particular regions.) Just a thought.
