Aw Sally, don't not post...you have too much knowledge and experience to withhold it from us. I disagree with you about nationals location, by the way, I personally think Utah's a great place for a national and the elevation is a non-argument--maybe going from sea-level to 6000-7000 feet would be less-than-ideal for a day or two, but these venues are more like 3000-4000 feet. We have shows here where people come from all over, and there has never been a problem with people running or dogs running. Denver (which is even higher in elevation than we are) has the biggest dog show in the Western US, it's supposed to be the West's answer to Westminster, and again nary a problem with handlers or dogs. Park City has a herding dog trial with dogs coming from all over, and Park City is up in the mountains...all the dogs (mostly border collies) and their handlers do just fine. If you really don't think altitude will agree with you, stay out of the mountains. Down here in the valley it's not an issue.
