Boy, I so disagree with that. A few of my GSDs were actually too long in the loin, and the pacing came down from one bitch and into the next generation. I had to learn how to break their pacing when starting them out in the ring. Another (Miss you, Moxie!) bitch's progeny never paced, and they were all shorter in the loin. Sure, anecdotal, but still...
