Actually that's not exactly accurate. (and we all know Evan was being
silly, don't we?)
Dichotomy is splitting a whole into parts, but the parts are different one
from the other...similar in a way that ties them
together, but separated by a difference.
Removing one coin and leaving 2 here and 2 there wouldn't be a dichotomy
because the two parts left are identical--not different. .
Dinner is the whole. Dinner is meat and potatoes. Meat is one thing,
potatoes another. Together they form one thing, but they are
separate.........and can stand on their own.
That's language.....not physics, not biology.......just language. I don't
know diddley about physics.........
