According to the local news station this morning, the film vault that is=
burning contains mostly television tapes, no movies. The contents of t=
he vault are not originals, nor are they the only copies. All are still=
in existence, stored elsewhere.
The King Kong Building (my favorite), the Streets of New York (currently=
being uses for the TV show, The Ghost Whisperer), and Courthouse Square=
(remember Back to the Future?) have all been destroyed. Universal said=
that they will rebuild. I am sure that they are well insured. No caus=
e has been found yet; the fire broke out at about 4 this morning. =
It IS a terrible thing to happen anywhere, to anyone, but, it is not exa=
ctly Katrina!!
