When I first started in shepherds, many years ago, my mentor told me to soak
the food so that the kibble expanded and therefore when the dogs drank water
after they ate the kibble would not expand therefore possibly causing bloat.Â
I did that for many years but have slacked off and now I don't soak for very
long at all, they get about a cup of water with a few teaspoons of canned meat
in with their kibble.
A question myth or true ??- Never feed a dog directly after it has been
exercising or excercise a dog after it has just ate.
