I have always put H20 in the guys' kibble, usually so vitamins will mix in. I remember reading somewhere (in the 70s) that letting the food expand from the water before they're fed is better than the food expanding in their stomachs after they've been fed. (However, doing this does NOT prevent bloat, since two old ones and one 4 year old bloated anyway.)
