in the book, Winter Dance, the author uses a few cases of Massengill Douche
to clean his dogs, and himself after they have a multi-skunk encounter. He
says it worked. The book is excellent by the way, about running the
iditorod. I laughed until I cried.

I have use Massengill Douche to clean the ears.
It comes already pre mixed I just transfer it to a smaller squirt bottle,
Squirt it into the ear, massage and stand back.
I use it in my grooming shop all the time. My vet said it would do the same
job as anything he would sell me.
Of course I buy about 10 boxes at a time. Now when I was younger, I'm sure
the clerk, thought "what a busy lady I was" or living close to Deadwood that
I
must have a not so nice business going. Now they just look and think "who is
she kidding"?
