[ SHOWGSD-L ] down pasterns

The protocol I have been using in recent years for down pasterns is
1. put them on an adult ration (I like the lamb and rice formula for the
protein/fat ratio)
2. Unflavored gelatin (Knox envelopes at grocery store or local store
brand) 1 Tablespoon twice a day
3. Selenium 250 mcg daily
4. Prozyme /Absorb more / Enzyme pro-- these are brand names of equivalent
enzyme preparations that assist digestion
You should see improvement in 2-4 weeks on this protocol.
If at 4 weeks you do not see improvement add Glucosamine with Chondroitin
Sulfate and vitamin C to the above protocol.
I would be interested in knowing how your puppy responds, If you would be
so kind as to let me know how your pup is doing
