Avis was nasty when I called the local office to request that I get a van that
will hold the crates. That is not how I put it, but the point is I got the
standard line of "We cannot guarantee a specific vehicle" and I hung up.
At the suggestion of one of our list family I called National and made a
reservation. I have just gotten off with the local office at National Airport,
who told me he would do his very best and that I should call a day or 2 in
advance to remind them of my request which is also noted on my computer file
for the reservation.
Kudos to National car rental!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
