[ SHOWGSD-L ] dogs and chickens

None of my five GSDs try to eat my Guineas, and they come into the dog yard
all the time.  The Guineas even roost on the dog kennels.  I never taught
them that they are to leave the birds alone.  They just ignore them.  Now,
my Anatolians killed several when they were pups, now they accept them as
part of the family.
One funny note, I had a bunch of eggs laid and two of the hens were sitting
on them for about four weeks.  They had laid them inside a dog igloo and
the igloo was sitting on its edge because I had been meaning to clean out
the debris in there for a couple of weeks.  So whenever it rained, it got
wet in there.  Did not bother the birds, but the keets kept dying, so I
removed the eggs and threw them out because I thought they were bad.  Well,
today one of my bitches, an 11 year old, got out of the dog yard and found
one of the eggs I had pitched and is carrying it around in her mouth.
Wonder if she will try to hatch it?  LOL
