I too had a "Woody" CH. Arelee's Woodstock CD, TC, Pacific Coast Victor
1977, HS CH. GSDCA
His affectionate ways were many, but my favorite was " taking me for a
walk.", he would gently take your wrist or hand and walk/lead you to where
ever he chose to take you. Sometimes it was strictly affection, other times
he wanted to show me something that I wasn't aware of, and should be.
When we had puppies available and prospective buyers would come, once he
sized them up, he would lead them to the puppy pen, in the same manner. This
was also a wonderful indicator to me, I could size up these prospects by
their attitude with "Woody", and his attitude with them.
He also would jump straight up in the air, all fours, showing his joy and
affection, he sometimes put his big red paws on your shoulder, his face in
your face for kisses or an admiring look of pure devotion.
He is long gone, but NEVER forgotten.
