I do see the dogs that are not rich in color but still not the ones I am
referring to as they are black and cream or black and silver.
If this website is correct on color not their dogs. :-)

How can white GSDs not be producing "genetically diluted colors"?
Color has not been as important to me until the possibly change
to the GSDCA Breed Standard now it is.
Having experience with owning GSDs that had one white parent and one rich
dark black and tan the pups in the litter that appeared were the washed out GSD
color.
So I do know this happens more than people realize. If you go
back in their pedigrees you will usually find the hidden white GSD
in the background. Reason genetics is so complicated as genes can
lie hidden for many generations to surface later.
