Sables are commonly called 'brown dogs' IF they have a dark red/brown
undercoat. The 'grey' refers to the sables with the light undercoat. Now I
understand why folks get confused.....if we don't speak teh same language how
is a newby supposed to learn?????
On a lighter note I always envied "Brownhill" for locking up a GREAT brown dog
kennel name!! And they have all those beautiful sables to boot!! LOL
