Hi Connie:
Bi-Color: A predominately black dog, with the exception that the legs are
tan with black penciling on the toes/feet (front) and black penciling on the
toes/feet of the back legs, often black on the back of the hock. Dogs
generally do not have much if any tan on the face with some exceptions of
the points on the head (ie: eyebrows may have a **little** tan in them, some
have a little tan in the cheek). For a picture of 2 bi-colors, visit my
website, as GV Spencer and GVx Lilly Marlene are/were both bi-colors.
Grey/Sable: I think these are synonymous for the same thing, grey being
used more often in European circles.
