Well, I just looked at my drivers license and I sure was wrong.  It  
definitely has a bar code thing on it.  No magnetic strip tho.  When  we first 
moved 
to VA back in 1978, they put your social security number on your  driver's 
license.  Fortunately they have changed that now.
