The standard is NOT being changed. The standard on file with the AKC and all
other grounds is
a word standard.
The illustrated Standard needed to be updated to match the written standard.
The drawings will
not change the meaning and intent of our standard. With better illustrations,
the standard can be
made clearer - not changed or altered.
At present the AKC/CKC/FCI/SV do not require illustrations, but the parent club
has had this
wodnerful illustrated standard for many many years.
While it is your personal belief that updating the illustrations is a change to
the standard, it is
just not the case. They are different entities.
