Ah yes, Colorado in October:-) Actually, anytime. My dtr called yesterday to say it was 85º one day last week (end?) and then the temp plunged again. When I was there in May a couple of years ago, it was 80º the first day and snowed the second day. The beauty of the state makes up for the crazy weather, though :-) My dogs loved the hiking, the green, and all of it. The people are fantastic, too!
