Well, my thoughts are different. #1, this National is very very special. Not
sure if the increase is for a longer period of time.
#2, arriving Tuesday "night" will allow you to be there for the Wednesday start
without being tired and missing anything.
#3, I am almost 80 years "young" and know that each person has a preference to
what they do with their money. Many of
them will spend it on stuff we would never think of doing, to each his own. I
love love the morning coffee -- :>)) Norma

Read the board o gram this morning and my thoughts were that I was disappointed
in seeing a raise in entry fees for the national at a time where the economy is
hurting everyones pocket. I wonder how many people this will deter from
showing at the national or be more selective in how many they enter. $60 for a
special and $40 for a class! wow. I know the club needs to make money but
sometimes increasing the cost of entires will lessen the amount of dogs entered
and is that really going to increase revenue?
No easy answers and I am thinking young people with families can find
something they need more to spend their money on then to show dogs at these
prices. Even some of the all breed and speciality shows have increased a
couple of dollars.
I didn't realize that the national actually started on Wednesday this year
because there was no speciality show, good to know, have to rearrange my plans
hope my hotel reservation was made for Tuesday night on : /
Well best get my second cup of coffee for the morning maybe that will help!
