And before anyone says anything... yes this woman was over the "legal
limit"... but that in NO WAY should have resulted in this....
I have been trying and trying to warn people about this... aristas ARE
taking over Animal Control positions in many locations in this country. And
they are being trained by the likes of HSUS and PETA... THIS COULD HAPPEN TO
YOU.
So, for the many of you out there that are not opposing draconian dog laws
and hoping to 'fly under the radar'... a warning...

Shar-Pei enthusiasts all over the US are very upset over the confiscation
of
18 show dogs from a well respected long time show breeder in Missouri.
Animal Control came in and seized all but two of her dogs ( she lived out
in
the country but did not have a current kennel permit and was over limit
due
to the fact that some of her puppies had pasted the 6 month limit). The
Director of the Pound in Kansas City, a radical AR person, refused to
allow the
owner of the dogs to have any access to them nor in anyway was the owner
allowed any legal process to get them back. She was not allowed due
process by any court action and incredibly within a week of confiscation,
the Kansas City
Dog Pound auctioned her dogs off to the highest bidders without any
qualifications required, reaping in a total of $14,000. Since there were
no charges filed and so she had no way to go to court.
She was in the process of raising $7000 to hire an attorney in order to
get
an injunction to prevent them from spaying, neutering and adopting them
out
immediately right after the seizure, but the pound auctioned them off
within
a week of seizure.
They were not seized for neglect or abuse and were reported in the Kansas
City paper newspaper to be in good health.
Additionally her 11 year old daughters personal pet, a French Bulldog, was
taken as well. This child fell seriously ill and nearly died a few months
ago
and the loss has now devastated her.
I find it hard to believe a agency of the county government can seize and
sell ( auction ) someone's personal property without so much as a charge
or
court hearing.
The violations should have amounted to a fine and time to relocate the
additional dogs. The breeder has another property of 17 acres she could
have
relocated her kennel to.
If anyone knows of a pet compassionate attorney who can help this woman (
sadly after the fact) please contact me.
I know her personally and can attest to the truth of the facts as I have
described above..
If this can happen to her..it can certainly happen to any one of us.

Right now we are getting forms to write complaints to the Attorney
General about the actions of the Kansas City dog pound and
investigate my lack of DUE PROCESS and the Divestment of my entire
life's work. ALL BREEDERS EVERYWHERE that are dedicated to show quality
animals need to get on board and FLOOD THIS AG with complaints about
this unlawful seizure and the subsequent torture and dispersal of my
beloved.
Tonight I got a call from one of the winners of the dogs. He acquired my
sweet and quiet Little Blue Bahama....he picked her up from the cattle
spay and put her in his car. When he tried to remove her she panicked
and escaped the collar...as we all know this breed will do....he managed
to chase her into his back yard and lock her in. He called saying she
was reeling round the back yard and foaming at the mouth...he cannot
believe what this pound has done to these dogs. My poor little blue
Bahama...see her on my web site...my darling little girl now panicked
beyond reason in some strangers hands ....mentally raped and
tortured...confused and no warm heart she knows.
This is bitter bitter fruit to bare and there will be no fairytale
ending in this for my kids. I am beyond anger in this. Beyond words to
express the depth of my anger and shock and dismay. I have fought for
YEARS to protect my dogs from people who though well meaning just do not
know enough to handle these dogs well. HERE you have to meet adoption
requirements.requirements.<WBR>...not FU
I want the WORLD down on these guys....anyone who cares I want this
state to hear your voice in this. They were safe and happy and
loved....now they are lost in PAIN and bewildered ....alone and cold in
a sunless world. No one who knows their hearts or speaks to them in
words their hearts long to hear. This nightmare for us just gets worse.
