I don't know. Last election cycle I ran for our county clerk, this required a
bit of research into electronic voting. It has its problems too.(I will not
take the space to go into them here) I think a combination of both would do it.
Electronically for those who wanted to and mail in ballots for those who cound
not or would not use electronic means. The mail in ballots could be made
available earlier than they currently are to help aleviate the stress of "on
time". Further I think the club could elect its' own equivelent to the "county
clerk". An election official who's job it was to run and tabulate the election.
Not a voting member of the board and elected on a different cycle. Do it in
house instead of contracting it out to any one. After all the company we
currently contract with SHOULD have forseen this problem and avoided it. Would
be a lot cleaner and save the club a good deal of money to boot.
