[ SHOWGSD-L ] background checks on PC candidates

I too am in HR...however, I TOTALLY disagree....this is not a "for profit
organization", this is not a "child care institution"....this is a dog
club...the people who are running for office have been in the breed for
"ages"....those of us who have been here also...know all of them...we may not
know all the nitty gritty of their individual personal lives...but that is
immaterial for this particular situation....for those of you who are NEW voting
members of the GSDCA, and do not know some or any of those people who are
running for office...you can a) not vote until you have greater knowledge; b)
get with someone who has been around longer and knows the individuals and what
they have contributed to our breed and ask questions then vote...just another
humble opinion from the HR arena...Pauline
