[ SHOWGSD-L ] back from a long day at the dog show

I went to an All Breed show today. No gsd's entered in breed as I predicted,
they were all at the Specialty in Michigan. I went for the first time in
Open Senior and it wasn't the best day for either Ginger and I. Ginger really
wanted to sniff at the grass (first time at a show in grass) so basically she
kept stopping. Then the judge took us two (ten OS in the class) and had us
free stack the dog. I was third and didn't her the directions so when she told
me I was already pretty disorianted. Ginger just didn't want to show for me
today. I was disapointed, but there's many more show and they must go on. So
I'll keep my head up high and hope for the best next weekend. That's not it
thought it was pretty hot and I wanted to put ginger back in the car but we
didn't bring her crate so I told my mom lets just leave the air condtioning on
and sure enough the battery died. Thank goodness I saw some people from my
confirmation class that had jumper cables. I got a nice sun burn too followed
by
rain, when we had the windows open, so my mom had to go run back to the car
which was a far way away to close the windows while I had to run ring side to g
et the chairs.So then we had to go in to the indoor ring area. Something
funny though I didn't have such a bad time either. I wish I would have placed
in
juniors, but that'll happen. It just didn't happen today.
