Maybe where you live but we go through shelters looking for service dog candidates several times a week throughout Ohio and Kentucky and that number is more like 50% and I doubt we are much different than the rest of the world. The problem is many shelters hesitate to call a dog a purebred even if it clearly is. PS I have no idea what the controversy at hand is and am not supporting either side of the controversy just correcting a statement with what I SEE in our region every week.
