Dear Becky,
I did not mean to point my response to you. It is a general comment. Most of us
are in this because we love beautiful GSD's. To be restricted from showing our
appreciation of a beautiful GSD(even if it is not handled or owned by our
clique's or friends) defeats the very passion we all share in common and takes
away from the inherent love of the breed.
I know for one, i am quick to run over to someone and tell them how much i love
their dog, if i really love their dog(even if it is not being handled by me),
at the same time(if you ask my clients) i am quick to tell someone if i don't
like their dog if i don't(if they ask for my opinion ofcourse).
I hope we as a group NEVER lose our ability to appreciate the breed, regardless
of who owns or handles it. This is a passion and we should allow ourselves to
be passionate. I hope that our brain fuction never stops the hair on the back
of your kneck standing up when we see a beautiful GSD or our hands clapping in
appreciation of the beautiful specimen.

Since my name has been dragged into this, I guess I should clarify Laurie's
post from this morning. She is referring to a handler that I WORK with.? A
handler I hire has no right to tell me who to applaud for. The handler who I
work with, on the other hand, represents his clients and our clients (and there
are two different groups). So I follow his advice - not that I agree with it -
and definitely not that I want this discussed in a public forum. Agree or
disagree, can we now move on please?
