Yes, I bet she was! I think most of the better handlers out there started out
as junior handlers, and you learn so much about ring etiquette and good
showmanship/manners that way. You can usually spot someone who started out as a
junior in the ring as an adult....the little details, like eye contact with the
judge, keeping the dog between you and the judge, courtesy turns etc...lol

A very long time ago, I was privileged to see a VERY young Leslie Dancosse
show a young dog to WD at the National. The dog was Arbar's Benno, and I think
this was Leslie's first appearance at a National. Very exciting for everyone.
She handled well even way back then.......I think she was about 13. Doris E
