Dear American Kennel Club;
As a Breeder of Merit under your auspices, I am obligated to register every
puppy I breed. If you remove the limited registration option, how do you expect
me to sell a pet puppy safely? Not every puppy in every litter should be bred!
I breed for MYSELF and if sell a pet puppy and do not want that puppy to be
bred EVER, they go on limited! But, there is no reason whatsoever that it
cannot be a healthy, happy, and AKC registered family pet. ( Who can still
enter performance events!!!)
Please don't take the Limited Registration option away from responsible
breeders. It helps us safeguard our breed standards. Fellow breeders, Please
feel free to comment, and be sure to use #WeNeedLimitedRegistration and
@ American Kennel Club so they see your input.
