[ SHOWGSD-L ] age to wean babies

Like Ed, I feed raw; however, I start babies off with Gerber jarred baby food 
(the meats) licked off my finger by the puppies.  They quickly graduate to 
skinless chicken necks, and raw chopped beef or ground turkey softened with 
some heated goats milk.  Yum, Yum.  Oh â?? and age â?? depends on the size of 
the litter â?? I usually start this supplement feeding at about 3 weeks of age. 
 By 4 weeks of age, they are eating breakfast and dinner, with a snack from mom 
for lunch, and having mom with them all night.  By 5 to 6 weeks of age, they 
are eating 3 times a day ( keeping mom away all day â?? but back with them for 
the night)â?? and then by 6 weeks of age, I do the horrible deed of taking mom 
away completely.
Good luck with your puppies, Todd.  (But why are you feeding Karo syrup ? â?? 
get goatâ??s milk or Lactose-free milk.)
