[ SHOWGSD-L ] a fun toy

My dogs love a ball that is distributed by General Cage called a prickly ball . 
It is about 4 inches in diameter , made of latex, is red in color, squeeks, and 
has short little spiney protrusions . The dogs seem to love the way it feels 
when they squeeze it in their mouth so they don't chew it up they just squeeze 
it and squeek it . It bounces very well and they love to catch it . It is so 
easy to train them with it to catch . Several years ago they had one that was 
even bigger that they carried at Petsmart and I bought them in quanity so we 
wouldn't run out. They do eventually wear out after about a year or more the 
latex gets soft and they lose their bounce. Then petsmart quit selling them and 
I did not find them anywhere else  . I haven't seen these new ones at any of 
the pet stores or catalogs either  Recently I discovered that General Cage had 
them and I got a catalog to order a whole sack for me . It would be nice to 
know if any of  you have seen them around in a  pet store or a catalog. They 
are sold in a package that says Classic product and the General Cage number is 
TH17.  I don't understand why they are not putting them on the shelves . Maybe 
they think that dogs don't like them .???  My dogs are addicted to them and I 
would hate to see them stop selling them again.  I don't really want to have to 
buy $1200.00 worth of pet supplies to get them and go into the supplier 
business, although I have considered it <LOL>.
It's sort of hard to find a toy for GSD that they really like so well . They 
did like the little soft fuzzy balls with giraffe spots that they won at the 
PPGSD specialty but they don't bounce like the prickly balls .
