And, this is why AKC allows breed standard changes every 5 years? The idea
that changing the GSD breed standard is a crazy one, and the world will laugh
at the GSDCA, is all in one's mind.

You know - if the theory that once it's in the standard it's the "law" forever
was a good one - then white wouldn't be a disqualification I think - I haven't
done any research but I think I remember reading it here on the list that white
wasn't a DQ until the late 40's or early 50's right? I believe that at the
time health problems and purity of color were problems? If they have
overcome
those problems - then maybe it is time to look at the question again . . .
If we could send the senate and the congress home after spending just
"surplus"
money and only making new laws (never changing old ones) - they wouldn't have
to
spend very long in Washington at all
From a rescue stand point - we have "rescued" a few white ones - and perhaps
because of the smaller breeding base - all of their temperments have been great
and very consistent - with few health problems - but we probaly haven't done
enough in numbers to make any accessment . . . .
