I joined the GSDCA because I have loved the German Shepherd Dog since I got my
first one when I was fourteen. I have been a member since 1987. The dog shows
are fun, the futurity plaques are nice. I particularly like the dual award
plaque that I have for my first Ch. Elway. I put a CD on him myself ( and if
you think that an easy task for a dog who did not want to do long downs ). But
the most important reason that I am glad that I joined was because of all the
great friends that I have made over the last twenty years. I have to add that
it would be a whole lot better if people would just be nice to each other. So
what if his dog beats yours, or you do not like what a judge does at a
particular show.....people it is a dog club. That is all. You should be happy
that you are well enough to even have these wonderful dogs and able to go to
dog shows and able to have a chance to join the GSDCA and have wonderful
friends. Remember, some people are so sick they cannot even leave th
eir ho
uses. So just try to be glad and appreciate what you have.
