[ SHOWGSD-L ] Zinc and Coat Growth

Hi All -
I have a question. Does anyone use zinc to promote hair growth? Some years ago,
we had a very bald dal bitch and a golden breeder suggested zinc - we put her
on zinc and she had hair within 6 weeks.
I asked a Flat-Coat friend about it too and she uses on her FC as do many other
FC people.
So has anyone tried it in GSD? My young bitch has a beautiful body coat and is
SLOWLY growing furnishings, but I am contemplating putting her on 20 mg about
every other day.
