Every time we get into this discussion (and I think we should because it helps to refocus!), there are so many diverse opinions as to what is important and so many 'knocks' at the dogs in the ring. I, of course, know better than anyone what dog should be put up - mine! And Kay is right, the opinion of any judge is just their opinion. Objectivity is the focus of the standard and the weight that the standard gives to various constructs is how judging should be weighted - but although the standard is objective, few of us are in general and none of us are in regards to ourselves. So, my point is: It is a sport and a hobby - relax and take your imperfect dogs and enjoy - If you are on the West Coast.
