I recently lucked into a place where the cows are raised truly naturally.
When I was young, we used to buy the other half of the cow that the farmer
near our camp on Manitoulin Island was slaughtering , knowing that he’d
raised it to eat! Well, that farmer passed years ago and then inspectors
and other crap got involved with beef here in Ontario and the meat went to
hell. I just found a place on the Island where the guys are raising cows
the way they used to be raised without hormones and without grain (I prefer
grass fed)...it’s pricey but no-one reacts to the meat and it tastes
absolutely wonderful. I hope that you manage to find somewhere like this
again too. It’s worth every little penny that I put aside for it.

With GFS based in GR suppliers of all over the country now no getting
away from the GMO or chemicals unless you raise your
own beef, etc. I would not feed my GSDs raw for that
reason and the food isn't even safe for people anymore
