We had a Mike daughter. Seems like yesterday but clearly it was many many
years ago. She was an extremely intelligent and thoughtful dog, and definitely
the alpha bitch. When people recall how their Mike progeny were talkers, I
remember how very vocal Fancy was when she was bred. She moaned the entire time
they were tied - lol.
But the escape artist -- oh yes! We couldn't figure out how the dogs kept
getting out of their kennels, until one day we were looking out the picture
window as Fancy slipped out of her own kennel and then proceeded to go down
the
line opening the other kennels. But her motives were not entirely pure. She
let the other dogs out so she could go in and eat their food!
I'd give a lot to have Fancy back - still waiting for Bob to produce the
21st century Mike!
