With a recessive trait it does indeed take two to tango..... But with a  
dominate gene it only takes one to break dance.  But that is precisely why  we 
should be even more diligent with our own dogs genetic background. We need to  
know what faults and virtues our own lines produce.
 
From my own personal experience I like to inbreed.  If you want to  find your 
genetic strengths and weaknesses there is no other method as  effective.  If 
you inbreed and you find you have health issues; then why  would you want to 
outcross?  If you have issues that are masked because the  right genes did not 
match up in outcross breedings you still have those  issues.... They are 
simply masked.  But if you outcross and you get a  certain problem... how do 
you 
know for certain that it wasn't your dog passing  on a trait that is dominate 
over the other dogs recessive gene? That is my  theory at any rate.
