I still think Tish is the one that should respond but then I think she has responded several times already. You probably do not want to hear my take on this subject but I will give it to you anyway, I do not think the GSDCA should charge a late fee for entering the Futurity BECAUSE I do not think we should accept ANY nominations that are late. You have 90 days to nominate a litter right? Well, I would think that in that period of 90 days you could decide if the litter was good and you wanted to show them in a Futurity. I would also think that in that period of 90 days you could figure out a way to come up with the $25.00. Since these comments above will probably cause a few spears to come my way anyway I might as well add that it sort of struck me as funny to learn some people are paying $100 all the ay up to $1000 for late nominations and I would be willing to bet a few of those people are the ones who are griping about the Futurities being just a match and that Handlers charge too much. Maybe in 2005 we should all support the Futurities by entering within the 90 days so next year we will not have this late fee discussion. Lew >> Damn was the above right on track. For what it's worth my last litter consisted of 7 (5M/2F) out of the litter I knew in advance that I was only keeping one(a bitch). My comment to Eva(the co-breeder/mid wife)after she told me what we had was " I'm not interested in the males but the girls I am". I knew at 4 weeks which one I wanted and I also knew that the rest were going to be sold as pets. Even knowing this the litter was Futurity nominated. As it turned out 3 were kept Cherish(my Wild Child)Beau(he went to my mentor as a pet as she didn't want to show that was between her and Eva)and Stormy(2nd pick bitch)of the 3 the only one that saw a Futurity was Cherish. The result 2nd out of 4. So you spend $25.00 small price to pay for what could be the next FV/FVX, MV/MVX but that's JMO. Would I do it again you betcha. I'm not rolling in money just got gut instincts. Hey Lew we might as well both get ripped apart.
