[ SHOWGSD-L ] X Factor...way OT

I teach at a middle school in Brentwood CA., about 35 miles east of San
Francisco.....at our staff meeting today we were told that a 7th grader at our
school was going to be on the show 'X Factor" with Simon Cowe and the gang....I
forgot the young ladies' name but we were told to be aware of her moods and
emotions as she proceeds through the selection process...we know she got
through the first round and she is the youngest contestant to get through this
year...it made me think of Hunter and Summer......neither of these talented
kids are on National TV but still I worry about the psyches of young people (
kids)put into the spotlight too soon, it's hard enough being an everyday kid in
today's society...I worry about our kids...thank God H unter and Summer have
excellent parents and support systems... Ed
