I am showing MUCH less - wish I could show more. I still want to and I am VERY
excited about next years RENO and SACRAMENTO shows and futurity! I guess we
can't say the names of our judges yet because we just sent them in to AKC, but
I
can tell you this will be a NATIONAL show <G>! This is our first chance to
hold a futurity and I think we are on track to do it WONDERFULLY!

I am sad to see the decline of entries just like everyone else. I have only
been around shows for 19 years now, but see a huge decline just since then.
It's our economy for sure. And the many other things in life...

Only those who have no interest in the Futurities and do not exhibit in them
look at it that
way. It is also a problem with regular AKC entries. Throw them away too??
People are breeding less and showing less.......it's just the way it is. The
future of show
is as Jim stated....dismal. BUT.....let's not bury them before they are dead.
There are those of us that do like the Futurities and appreciate them and try
to
support them
and are willing to try to help keep them going and are participating when we
have pups.
Carol Moore is working hard and diligently to try to revive them. Many Clubs
are wanting to
participate with hosting them Many breeders and handlers look forward to
showing in them.
Time to appreciate the participants and workers instead of discouraging them by
making that
kind of a judgment call because you are not interested.
Our Reno Club is excited about having a chance to host the Mid Pacific Futurity
next year in
conjunction with our four show weekend!!
We really hope this attitude is not pervasive............??
