What disturbs me is that Carmen did not sign this, it came from the board.
I do wonder how many board members even knew about it.
Second the entire reason for the need to explain is having the discussion
originally done in a closed session. Our board, or some of them, do not
understand that they are not ordained, but rather were elected to represent
us.
The third problem I have is before a city is chosen to hold our National
why don't we have contracts signed and full disclosure. I do understand that
the board is not made of business people or lawyers, but it seems
reasonable to contract for any services. From what we now see, there was
limited if
any disclosure before it was announced we were going to Reno.
I applaud all of you who forced our board to be honest and open with the
members. It is a shame it was necessary.
