[ SHOWGSD-L ] Why don't they listen?

Or, why don't we listen?
Not everyone should own a puppy. Also, not everyone should have kids.
The problem is or maybe the solution is, you can re-home a puppy. If you
are not competant or willing to put in the time with a dog, then you just
find a new home, take it back to the breeder, or fight with the dog forever.
If you are an unwilling parent, you find your kid one day in a clock tower
with a high powered rifle.
I deal with those parents, (kids and dogs) all the time.
There is no easy solution for us as breeders. We do the best we can to find
the right homes, but the best thing of all is our "gut". If the potential
buyer doesn't "feel right" to you, pass. This is not an easy hobby,
between our great friends dying, bad hips, elbows, esophagus problems, torsion,
weak ears, hips/elbows, missing teeth, temperment, and others, we need to
be carefulll with buyers.
On the other hand, where can you find this much love with a nine week
gestation period?
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
