Further update...I went into the yard before I let any more dogs out and
found a dead skunk......took a shovel and whipped the poor smelling thing
over the fence for a burial later on today.
I had the same thing happen to me at 11:30 at night when two of my dogs went
outside for their final pee of the day. Both got sprayed right in the face.
I was not in the best of moods giving two dogs baths at that hour. Next
morning, I also found a dead skunk. It was just a baby. As mad as I was
the night before, I almost cried when I saw the poor little thing dead. It
didn't have any marks on it either. Maybe it just died of fright from
having two big German Shepherds charging at it.
