I knew that, but what I was saying is that if a dog or bitch is co-owned
with us, and the animal lives with someone else, we consider them in charge.

AKC doesn't care, but we never try to control the way someone else handles a
dog we co-own.
I don't tell them where to show the dog, how to raise the dog, or what they
have to do. I am there to make suggestions or answer questions, but never to
control them. There are so many problems that come up when someone tries to
tell another how to raise their family pet. We have always avoided that
problem.
