How about we just have our Parent Club issue a statement!

"THE BREEDERS OF AMERICAN DOGS ARE STRIVING TO INCORPORATE STRONG NERVES IN
THEIR DOGS."

That would have as much impact on the general public as testing dogs at the
National.

I can't help wondering what people are thinking who want to limit the
national judges in their ability to evaluate the dogs? Do those folks think
the
judges are stupid, incompetant, or both? If they think that, why do they
think another judge testing temperament would be any better?

Fred said it correctly. The test is only as good as the tester. Do we
elect the person to judge temperament at the national, or is it going to be
someone appointed by someone else we did not elect?

What causes this new terrific lack in confidence in our national judges?

At one point people wanted to limit the number of Selects they could find.
Then they wanted to give an extra award, first to good hips and elbows, and now
for a performance award with OFA and temperament evaluation. Extra awards
and titles are fine, but limitations are an interesting development. Next we
are saying we should eliminate dogs from competition if they don't pass a
test the day before.

Who is so insecure in those we vote to judge our national that they want
committees to help eliminate the entries? And, why do they feel that way?
Some
of those who advocate testing to take the job away from the elected judge
are people I respect. I can't figure out why they have lack a lack of respect
for the judge.

I just do question those who question our judges.
