The Standard is a "moving target"...depending on who's in charge of the target.
I don't show dogs...and my life will not change whether or not whites get
included back into the STANDARD......saying a white shepherd is a different
breed, does not and will not ever make any sense to me.....I remember when
folks used to call babies born of parents who were not married,,,"
illegitimate.....and I remember how arrogant I thought that was.....a bit of a
strong analogy I admitt...Ed

Carolyn's post is the MOST sensible I've seen on the subject so far.
It seems to me that any further discussion would be pointless...Carolyn
has got it right here....it doesn't matter who votes for what...this, right
here,
is what it's all about. Â Not whether there are good white dogs, not whether
there are whites with normally coloured parents...it's about the Standard,
and the purpose of the breed.............
Otherwise, let's dye some dogs purple and put them in the "any other colour"
class...
