It is always in the eye of the beholder.
When what you are doing is not fun, just stop doing it. While I believe
that includes breathing, it also certainly does apply to dog shows.
There is no reason to keep doing dog shows, unless they are fun. No one
makes money at it. It does not change mankind or even affect global warming,
(or if you prefer changing weather patterns).
Dog showing is not a necessary activity for anyone. Now maybe you just
enjoy the people, or love the dogs, or like the challenge. But, if none of
that, or anything else relating to dog shows floats your boat, there are lots
of other things to do.
Folding paper is always a challenge. You can make a rabbit, or a hat, or
an airplane, or so much more.
And in answer to the question, "Where the hell ARE these Shows", the
answer is, whatever shows I go to. It is even more fun if Ed is there, but
even
without him, they are great. Just like America.
But, I digress into politics again.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
