My in laws live in upstate Michigan. The Newfie Nationals were close to
them recently, (in a town of 400), with no airport nearby. I don't know how
you fly one of those anyway, and from Detroit it would be about a four hour
drive.
I would think everyone would have to drive in with the dogs.
They went to see it, and in the grooming area the exhibitors had built a
full size dog out of the hair they were combing out.
Now that is funny.

Good news for us Northwesterners - The Briard National is coming to
Portland, Oregon next month and has a good educational program scheduled on
early
spay neuter. Good program for us GSDers to attend. Fortunately that club
manages to move around as do so many others allowing us to get these quality
programs our own parent club does not think we need here. Have attended a
wide variety of programs offered at various Nationals that come out here.

Subject: [ SHOWGSD-L ] 2015 Financial again. SAY WHAT??
Simple solution.
Hold the National in New York State, run the club there. Get all member
West of Pennsylvania to withdraw, and have a club of 400 members with a
strong treasury. Run the club magazine off a copy machine, don't vote for
anything, and let the current board pay their own way to the meetings, or quit.
You could hold the National at a Holiday Inn, and finish it in a day.
