I can't imagine my life with out dogs and showing, I would miss my extended dog
family and the beautiful dogs.? I guess I could still go to the shows but what
would be torture.? The time will come that I will not be able to show dogs due
to money more then anything and that will be a very difficult time for me.? But
until then I am enjoying my dogs, the shows and my great family of dog friends!

Like Sally said, it is a long painful process, It really is true, I
started talking about not showing for a few years, and my friends didn't
believe me, then I stopped breeding have had one litter now in two years, and
before that hadn't had a litter in four years. I kept a beautiful bitch
named Carry on Cleo, which you guys, helped me name, she hasn't had puppies
yet, and I showed her maybe 4 times, I keep looking at her and I say I should
finish you but I haven't done it yet.
It takes a long time to stop showing german shepherds, your heart is
always there, especially when you see some of these great dogs being
campaigned. You just want to get out there and show. I don't miss the 4AM
getting
ready to go to the shows, or the long travelling time, I do miss the German
Shepherd family, I recently went to the Westchester KC and visited with
friends that I have not seen in many years we had a wonderful time, just as
if we seen each other yesterday.
I keep reminding myself that I need to stop thinking that way, but the ring
keeps calling. Good Luck to everyone who is competing at the National.
