I'm with Flowerboy! Tomorrow I will be 63. Last Saturday I fell off one of
our horses and broke my ankle--know what I can't wait to do? Go riding
again, although it will be awhile. Billy and I have 5 dogs, 3 horses and 3
cats. I don't know what I'd do without them. By all means, PLEASE get the
puppy. As my best friend Ellen Heintz used to say, "Age is relative." Have
fun.

The Farm Dog Forever
Helen. Get two puppies! I'm 59 planning to retire from teaching next year
and I'm already looking into my third career. Thinking about running for the
school board or starting a medical marijuana business. I might even show a
dog this year none of us know when time is up. Tomorrow never comes. FB
Helen, you are never to old to enjoy life and a GS puppy would enhance your
life for many years to come.� It has been proven that when we get
older a dog adds to the quality of life and makes it worth living longer.�
I could never be happy without a dog by my side as I look at�my GSD
sitting
and staring at me�right now begging for another bone.

It has been several years since my arms have held a GSD in my home.
Instead, I have embraced
3 rescue kitties.� Now, about to move, I ask myself, am I to old?� I
long
for a GSD,
how could I not!� But at the age of 68, am I to old?� I would have to
believe that I will live
in good health and strength until age 81.� Is that fair?� Since both
parents were gone by
the age of 65, I am already on borrowed time.� I must make this decision
in
the next 30
days........and oh how my heart longs for a dog.....from my nose to my
toes............Guess I will
let the man upstairs make that decision for me.� Hope he finds a place
that
allows big dogs!
