GO FOR IT!! :)
What I did was make sure when I got a new puppy that I made provisions for
it in my will and with my friend who has agreed to take her if something
happens to me. That gave me peace of mind in case she outlives me.
Undoubtedly the parrot WILL outlive me, and I have done the same with him.

It has been several years since my arms have held a GSD in my home.
Instead, I have embraced
3 rescue kitties. Now, about to move, I ask myself, am I to old? I long
for a GSD, how could I not! But at the age of 68, am I to old? I would
have to believe that I will live in good health and strength until age 81.
Is that fair? Since both parents were gone by the age of 65, I am already
on borrowed time. I must make this decision in the next 30 days........and
oh how my heart longs for a dog.....from my nose to my toes............Guess
I will let the man upstairs make that decision for me. Hope he finds a
place that allows big dogs!
